REMOTE Sr. Python Developer (AWS Docker SPAs) | IT Integrator (1-year contract to FTE perm)

PROJECT SCOPE:

• Seeking a back-end developer with an emphasis on Python Django and/or Kafka
• Sprint-based IoT wearable web-app project.
• Extensions and/or direct hires possible for the right candidate.
• Experience collaborating with senior developers, project managers, and designers in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with and connecting to both client-side & server-side systems.
• Able to provide realistic estimates and meet timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5+ years of in-depth backend OOP Python development experience.
• Experience with Django and/or Kafka
• 4+ years of experience with AWS Cloud stack deployment
• 2+ years containers expertise using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Frontend web UI development creating SPAs (Single Page Applications) using either: React.js (highly preferred), Angular, or JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with Git and source control branching, and familiarity with online project management/issue tracking tools.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum and agile project methodologies.

HIGHLY DESIRED (NOT required):

• Familiar with Flask framework
• Preferred industries: (IoT) Internet-of-Things, Software, Health/Fitness, Mobile Apps
