In addition to being experts in developing SELinux policies, Owl is also known for DFDL language used to specify schemas that allow translation of data into XML.

We are seeking outstanding and highly motivated computer engineers and developers with varying years of experience. You will apply software analysis, design, and implementation skills to develop, configure, and analyze computer security related software and associated security policies using SELinux. The work will involve system architecture design, analysis, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Use Creativity and a proven track record of finding and implementing solutions to real problems. You will be asked to make contributions to architecture, design, and implementation.
• Identify security vulnerabilities in the system components or network devices and provide innovative solutions.
• Enhance the DFDL language features using Scala.
• Get involved with Writing SELinux policies with training.
• Troubleshooting Linux boot issues and provide fixes.
• Experience using collaborative software development tools and workflows, including version control. Git experience is a plus.
• Write reports and documents as required.
• Knowledge of Linux administration, common services and command line usage is a plus.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in computer science, MS Preferred.
• 5 years of experience in developing software in Linux environment.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in Java
• Experience in C++ and Scripting language like Python is a plus.
• Expertise in XML required.
• Understanding of TCP/IP stack.
• Capability to use Wireshark and analyze PDU’s.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Complex software development is a team exercise and we need people that can find the answers and then help others understand.
• Knowledge of Linux administration, common services and command line usage is a plus.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a background investigation.
