  • This role is open for telecommuting, based anywhere within the US*** Deliver moderately complex solutions that require analysis and research. Act independently or as a member of a team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of moderately complex solutions and changes to the application (Empower) to ensure they meet defined business requirements and the enterprise performance and architecture standards.
This position is 100% Remote
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Works independently or within a team to document requirements/user stories, perform analysis, and configure solutions, using tools that are pertinent/required for the area to which the person is assigned.
  • Conduct robust unit testing and provides support for subsequent release testing.
  • Provide escalated support for applications in production.
  • Manages multiple competing priorities through effective planning, organization, and communication.
  • Drives the development, analysis and distribution of complex solutions.
  • Provide direction in the development and maintenance of solutions as well as participates in various phases of the development life cycle.
  • Works under moderate supervision to analyze possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents to solve a range of straightforward problems.
  • In an Agile environment: Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and consulting with, the business from the beginning of the design work.
  • Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design.
  • Actively participate in refining user stories.
  • Responsible for defining acceptance criteria, performing unit testing, and supporting integration and functional testing.
  • Responsible for providing warranty support and providing knowledge transfer to production support.
  • In person activities may occur periodically based on business need.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience.
  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical and non-technical information to any audience.
  • Knowledge of mortgage originations.
  • Experience working within the Black Knight Empower application.
  • Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
  • Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical problems.
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
  • Assess and effectively manage risks associated with the business objectives and activities.
  • Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured high quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches.
