The Position:

As an Engineering Manager on the new Mobile Platform Team, you will grow and lead a team of software developers focused on making our iOS and Android apps reliable while increasing mobile developer efficiency. The Mobile Platform Team aims to make it easy for mobile developers to do the right thing in a rapidly growing organization. You’ll learn about the pain points for our engineering teams and set a roadmap to safely scale the number of developers working on our mobile apps. You will be a leader, mentor, and hands-on developer when needed. You will collaborate with other engineering leaders, Product Managers, Designers, and QA Analysts. You will report to one of our Directors of Engineering.

• Encourage engineers to contribute at the highest level to serve our developers and in turn our users.
• Ship early and often.
• Work with leadership peers to refine and improve our innovative engineering culture.
• Promote responsible engineering practices across the whole engineering organization.
• Help engineers gain technical breadth and depth, improve judgment, and develop into tomorrow’s leaders.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of critical features of our platform.

Who You Are:

• People management background.
• Several years of software development experience, including as a technical lead.
• Experience solving app-level issues that span multiple teams.
• Comfort working and leading in a Lean and Agile environment.
• Hands-on experience developing native applications on iOS and/or Android and interest in learning a variety of technology stacks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer and developer empathy.
• History of successful product delivery.
