As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the operations engineers - This includes customer service management, managed services operations, and consistent product improvement engineering. Collaboration with internal customers, product engineering, and development groups is critical to success. From Kubernetes to the kernel and everything in-between, you’ll be working with the latest technology in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Expert knowledge in all aspects of designing, developing, managing large real-time systems.
• Engage, influence, and evangelize SRE practices with development, operational and product groups to align technology service/solution delivery.
• Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for process quality. This includes leading effective postmortems and ensuring actions are followed-up.
• Implement metrics driven processes to ensure service quality targets are met
• Lead your team in daily agile DevOps practices
• Optimize the quality and velocity of both development and operations
• Mentor engineers to improve their skills
• Identify and measure team health indicators
• Implement structured engineering and operations processes
• Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
• Work to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
• Deliver quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner
• Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal team
• Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Experience working in and managing distributed teams
• Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
• Experience with cloud topologies and technologies

Education and Experience:

• Strong understanding of SRE Methodologies
• Minimum 5 years of SRE experience
• Minimum 3 years of Management experience
• Prior successful experience as a systems performance or site/systems reliability engineer.
• Demonstrated experience working in large, complex systems environments.
• Deep understanding of internet and networking protocols.
• A passion for performance excellence, robustness, and engineering mindset
• Have excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Maintain excellent written and verbal communications with clients, employees, and management chain, including status reports, project plans, presentations, etc.
• Running and troubleshooting moderately complex Kubernetes clusters
• Experience designing CI/CD processes
• Bachelors (or equivalent) Degree level education in a technology field
