We are looking for a Web Engineer to help drive new user acquisition, expand our experimentation platform, and lead the design implementation of our various web properties. The ideal candidate is fully versed in modern CSS practices, scalable React design patterns, and TypeScript. While the candidate is expected to have some familiarity across the web-stack, the bulk of their time will be spent supporting our frontend web implementations and patterns. The candidate should be comfortable sharing their opinions and proven strategies for building successful frontend engineering and marketing enablement systems.

What you will be doing:

• Guide best-in-class CSS implementations inside our Web applications, Design Systems, and pattern libraries
• Improve engineering tooling, process, and standards to enable faster delivery, excellent editorial experience, and impeccable user experience
• Collaborate with digital producers to support their recommendations and deliverables
• Work extensively with reusable React modules and CSS patterns to support company-wide web initiatives
• Contribute to growing and improving Greenlight’s web-centric coding standards
• Remain engaged with the latest technology and industry UI trends to continually evolve and improve application experience

What you should bring:

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• 4+ years of production React, HTML, CSS experience
• 1+ year of production TypeScript experience
• 1+ year of JavaScript unit testing and React component testing patterns
• Familiarity with distributed domain models for microservices
• Excellent understanding of user experience and an eye for detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
