The Software QA Analyst is responsible for becoming the expert in our systems and test them thoroughly to ensure they are reliable, fully functional, and user-friendly. This role will require an understanding of software, including the ability to quickly learn applications and a working knowledge of their underlying technologies. This role will work closely with our Software Engineering and Development team. In addition, this role is responsible to uphold our core values: Ethics, Engagement, and Excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the development and execution of test plans.
• Assist in manually testing applications for functionality, performance, reliability, and stability prior to release
• Create detailed tickets to document issues and enhancement features.
• Work with developers to help identify and troubleshoot potential bugs.
• Work with end-users to broaden understanding of systems and their requirements.
• Assist in the creation of QA documentation.
• Identifying new ways of preventing bugs from occurring.

Qualification/Requirements:

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Teachable attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, and ability to proofread.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent tool
• Working knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience with tools like Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with software applications.
