TEAM

Propel Software Solutions is searching for a highly motivated Financial Analyst, to join our fast paced, ever evolving Finance team. This position can work 100% remote in the U.S. As a contributor of Propel's Finance team, you will work in a friendly, diverse, and collaborative team environment. Propel's Finance team consists of a CFO, a Controller and newly hired GL Accountant. You will report directly to the Controller while also working closely with the CFO. Working under a small team allows for more personalized one on one coaching and mentoring. We want you to succeed and we invest the time to ensure that happens.

ROLE

As an early member of this growing team you will have the opportunity to contribute in a wide range of cross functional initiatives. Your day to day responsibilities will involve driving and executing our financial planning and analysis. As part of this role you will also have the ability to grow into a strong driver in shaping and owning financial and accounting operations (fin ops). During this journey you will work closely with the CFO and Controller who combined have 20+ years of experience in both public and private companies.

In this role you can expect to:

• Assist and eventually own the annual, quarterly, and monthly planning process
• Work with cross functional executives to dashboard and instrument KPIs
• Partner with the CFO and Controller to tackle tough business problems through analytics
• Assist in architecting the analytical foundation for the company as it scales
• Deep dive on analytics related to revenue, sales productivity and margins
• Become the SME that manages the financial planning platform and associated processes
• Assist in managing investor relations
• Partner with accounting to generate a comprehensive monthly reporting package
• Work with functional leaders to analyze our business and help them achieve their KPIs
• Manage relevant data systems

MUST HAVE skills:

• 1-3 years experience in a SaaS companyPRO TIP: think about your absolute must haves. Do you absolutely need SFDC experience? Let's ask how many years of experience they have in SFDC, etc.
• 2-5 years financial analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Self motivated and always looking to improve
• Can explain WHY a metric increased or decreased not just report that it increased or decreased
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Tech savvy with a keen interest in learning new software and systems
• Excel wizard

Other skills that may be useful in this role:

• Ability to present complicated concepts in a simple manner
• Experience with the Salesforce platform and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc)
• Start up experience where you have experienced a wide range of accounting processes
