In this job opening you will have the opportunity to be considered for multiple teams within the Motional ecosphere, in an effort to align your skills with the best fit for your background. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting problems in autonomous driving. We are hiring remote and in all Motional locations.

What you'll be doing:

• Implement state-of-the-art algorithms
• Assist with high-level analysis, design, and code reviews
• Develop software to support autonomous driving
• Define use cases and develop methodology and benchmarks to evaluate different approaches

What we're looking for:

• Excellent C++ and/or Python programming skills
• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in related engineering field - Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics
• 3+ years experience as a software engineer
• Ability to implement new algorithms efficiently and rigorously
• Experience developing software as part of a team
• Experience with software engineering tools (e.g., Git, CMake, CI, gdb, etc.)
• Strong quantitative ability
