The Sr. Data Modeler  will be responsible for gathering requirements from the business,performing detailed data analysis, source to target designs, data profiling, and metadata management in support of new development /implementation or enhancement of existing data assets. In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and implementation of large enterprise data warehouse/BI solutions. In addition, you will be responsible to build the data model based on the analysis.The candidate must be experienced but still have a passion for learning, mentoring, and collaboration. This position requires strong collaboration with a cross-functional team consisting of business system analysts, business partners, third-party vendors, solution leads, analysts, and development teams. The analysts will be responsible for understanding business requirements, researching/analyzing requirements and understanding datasets that support business functions, conduct data profiling, provide the appropriate source to target transformations rules/logic for the implementation. Data Analysts are expected to integral part of the full development lifecycle process from concept, design, development through testing, and implementation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for gathering business requirements, performing data analysis which includes inspecting, profiling, transforming with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision making
• Perform data analysis, gap, and impact analysis for medium to large-sized assignments (with med/large number of data elements, one-to-multiple sources, business impact, and visibility)
• Use documented procedures to create a source-to-target mapping, document code map capturing business and technical metadata, and complete data linkage
• Perform data profiling, present findings to various audiences, and propose options
• Preparing the Data model based on the data analysis and reporting requirements
• Perform ad-hoc, live research to demonstrate/present data issues, patterns, relationships, findings, and/or recommendations
• Partner with Business Subject Matter Experts, Business System Analysts, Solution Technical Leads, Data/Application architects, and development teams to analyze data requirements to ensure data design is aligned with business strategy, project, and scope
• Highly proficient in SQL skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze high-volume, high-dimensionality data from various sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams: data stewards, architects, data governance, data quality, development, solution leads, and QA team to address data and mapping questions
• Translate business requirements to functional and technical specifications

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, hands-on experience in SQL, including querying large and complex data sets
• 5+ years of experience in one or more relational or columnar databases or appliances like DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server,Snowflake, Netezza, Redshift etc.
• Data modeling experience
• Strong experience in data management, data integration, data warehouse, data virtualization, and data quality design patterns and techniques.
• Prior experience in a cloud-based project is a plus
• Preferred working experience in Domain models, Canonical models, and API interfaces
• Proven track record of full life cycle successes from inception to successful completion and production support
• Ability to effectively communicate status, design, and approach to management/business sponsors/product managers
• Familiar with standard software development tools, including incident tracking, version control, documentation, and testing systems
• Experience with iterative development life cycle methodologies and application of those principles, especially agile development practices
• Demonstrated experience working with vendor partners, cross-functional and development teams in terms of end-to-end technical delivery
• Strong analytic, process flow, problem-solving, communication, customer service, organization skills, are required
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
• Self-directed works with limited management direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment
• Capable of incident resolution during a major incident process
• Good time management and prioritization skills; self-starters especially welcome
• Maturity and ability to take responsibility for gathering additional information on requirements and design to effectively establish testing for the applications and processes
• Dedicated to excellence in quality, reliability, and thoroughness in all work tasks; detail-oriented with consistent follow-through
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and familiarity with data quality automation
  Cloud Microservices application data modeling experience.
