The VP of Engineering at aboutGOLF is responsible for all aspects of our software and hardware product development.The VP of Engineering is a key executive leadership team member accountable for leading a mature, scalable, and high-performing development organization delivering all engineering-related activities. The VP of Engineering runs a team of teams comprising ~20 people to design, build and ship our world-class golf simulator product, business customer applications, and services & mobile products.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the teamto deliver on the company vision for AG products and services to increase the value of our software and hardware subscriptions
• Lead product management and engineering efforts to develop new products
• Hire, build, lead and retain a high-performing product team
• Build a culture of trust, accountability, and motivation across the team
• Manage budgets and finances for the department
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Support, and Customer Success to deliver products successfully
• Facilitating new product development

Requirements include:

• 5+ years of software organizational leadership
• 10+ years of strong technical and engineering skills, including hands-on experience as an engineer.
• Impeccable interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams and groups of people
• Ability to lead with empathy and develop talent in others, including coaching, mentoring, and objective setting.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and motivation to get more done with less.
• Deep software development background in both applications and cloud services
• 5+ years architecting and building cloud services
• Azure experience is a bonus
• Experience in the golf industry is a bonus
