Storm4 are partnered with an exciting Electric Vehicle Solutions Series A ($45M) startup! The company are building a software infrastructure that enables electric vehicles to interact with electricity markets. Their innovative solutions measure, optimize, and reward the environmental benefits of electric vehicles, encouraging adoption.

As they move through this next phase of growth they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for developing their backend services in either C#, Java, Python, Kotlin or Node.js, as well as architecting their data structures, databases, and APIs for third parties to interact with.

Responsibilities🔨:

• Develop and maintain the backend services of our system, ensuring that all components work together seamlessly.
• Design, develop, and maintain third-party accessible APIs for data ingest/egress within the platform.
• Manage ingestion and storage of multivariate data sets that can scale to millions of users/connected vehicles.
• Build and enhance data lakes to provide additional data analysis for different services and consumers.
• Review and enhance database best practices or patterns to avoid. Research, design, and implement solutions to improve system performance at scale.
• Develop services to interact with connected vehicles at scale. Ensure proper security and data protection policies, procedures, and monitoring are in place.

Requirements📑:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• Proven exceptional ability as a Backend Database/API engineer or similar role.
• Professional experience programming in multiple backend languages, such as C#, Java, Python, Kotlin, Node.js (not all required)
• Deep experience with multiple database technologies, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
• Strong knowledge of proper API design and authentication mechanisms for third party clients.
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker.
