Duck Creek Technologies LLC seeks a Sr. Software Solutions Engineer based out of our U.S. headquarters in Boston, MA; however, this is a Remote First (telecommuting/work-from-home) position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. Note, this position does not require travel. The Sr. Software Solutions Engineer will design, enhance and develop new features and functionalities based on customization requirements. With respect to Home, Personal/Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation, Personal Liability, Personal Umbrella, Dwelling Fire, Cyber Liability, Farm and Ranch line of businesses of the insurance domain, s/he will design, develop and implement effective software solutions. S/he will enhance and add new features to Duck Creeks proprietary software solutions; ensure that the configurations meet client needs, application requirements, and performance goals; configure software, develop customization, and integrations to meet the business process design and application requirements; and conduct code reviews, identifying roadblocks and offering solutions.S/he will create application prototypes and conduct conference room pilots to validate the configuration design and explore gaps; component/performance test the application; design, develop, and implement custom integration points for Duck Creeks applications (Agencyportal, Turnstile, Booksmart), using product Connect5. S/he will address any defects and performance problems discovered in testing, ensuring the application components align with the application architecture and meet application performance goals; participate in the Peer Review process; complete all appropriate documentation required by the testers, dev-ops, and application management teams, and perform analytical and qualitative activities using spread/database type software applications.
Minimum Requirements
The position of Sr. Software Solutions Engineer requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT, Electronic(s) Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or a closely-related IT/Computer field. The position requires 8 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related SW development/engineering position. Additionally, the applicant must have the following number of years of professional experience with each of the following:
