A Bit About Us
Insurance tech company is seeking candidates for a Senior Software Engineer position. This position is a critical member of the Information Technology team and plays an important role in expanding the capabilities of our systems. This position will help support our web applications including agency and policyholder portals. In this role the incumbent supports both the day-to-day maintenance of web applications and works to provide additional functionality and enhancements on an ongoing basis. Analysis of customer’s needs and company objectives may be required to address and execute the enhancements to the portals.
Strong debugging and analytical skills will be needed to conduct problem / resolution activities. Incumbent will present recommendations and time line implementation to management.

Requirements include
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area or commensurate technical experience
- Expert with Java and Struts
- 5+ years of experience with Javascript, HTML/XML/XSLT, SOAP
- 3+ years of experience with JSON, jQuery, Regex
- Software architecture patterns
- WebSphere and Tomcat configuration and management
- Subversion or similar version control system
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong team player
- Demonstrated analysis, organization, planning and execution skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation and record keeping skills
- Attention to detail
