Position Summary
The Sr Specialist Applications Development is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting existing web applications and will work with the Manager Applications Developer to design and build additional applications within the Nespresso US IS/IT Azure environment.
The role is responsible for monitoring existing legacy applications including troubleshooting, bug fixes and developing requested features based on the needs of the business. The full stack engineer has a critical role in supporting the business's existing processes and building the technological future of the company at large.

Position Summary

A Day in the Life:
- Responsible for understanding business needs and strategic impact of projects
- Build project timelines and project plans to manage key stakeholders and interim deadlines for on-time delivery
- Evaluate potential risks and hedge accordingly
- Responsible for building and maintaining architectural components in Azure
- Responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD build pipelines
- Responsible for troubleshooting issues as it pertains to the infrastructural components as needed
- Responsible for continuously improvement of architecture based on the system analysis and business needs
- Responsible for ensuring infrastructure is built according to Nestle security and compliance standards
- Responsible for building test suite to ensure architectural integrity
- Responsible for communicating data management process into non-technical language
- Responsible for ensuring all data feeds and storage comply with Nestlé standards of data security.
- Manage user groups to preserve appropriate levels of data security
- Transform business need based feature requests into functional software features
- Create and implement tests and testing strategy for new features
- Integrate tests as needed into CI/CD pipeline
- Bachelors Degree required. Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or similar field preferred
- 5+ years of front and backend development experience required
- Expertise working with structured data; apply methods, technologies and techniques that address data architecture, integration and governance of data required
- 5+ years development experience in PHP
- 5+ years development experience in JavaScript
- 5+ years development experience in ReactJS, VueJS or AngularJS
- 5+ years development with database design, schemas and RDBMS. Preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL
- 5+ years development experience in Java, Python, C#
- 5+ years development experience in Azure (Preferred) or AWS
- Experience developing serverless architecture
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience developing and testing API’s
- Experience with Git, Subversion or other source control system
