About The Opportunity
The Ceridian Product Development team is looking for an experienced Software Developer to create the industry’s next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions.
As a staff developer, you will be working across engineering teams to provide technical leadership and stewardship of the Dayforce product. You will design and build prototypes, iterate on them with teams, and evangelize scalable cloud development practices to elevate other engineers.

What You'll Get To Do
Drive the design, prototyping, and implementation of scalable and available cloud applications.
Participate in critical architecture design, advise and influence on strategic technical directions
Mentor and train fellow software engineers on software development best practices

Skills And Experience We Value
10+ years of experience building and leading development of distributed cloud applications
Technical fluency; comfort driving work, discussing or diving deep on technology concepts, options and new opportunities with technical team members
Strong business acumen; Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across the organization
Driven by delivering customer value and impact
Expertise with SQL and noSQL database systems; understanding of data analytics and observability
Proficiency with object-oriented languages and knowledge or willingness to learn .Net
Experience with public cloud providers, microservices, event-driven architecture,
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and tools such as Terraform
Experience with modern technology (React, Node.js, GraphQL, Kafka, etc.)
Experience with designing and implementing APIs
Proven track record of working and experimenting with new technologies; staying current with industry trends
Experience with the latest container systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Service Fabric) and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and techniques
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
