We are looking for Senior Backend Python Developers with a core emphasis in AWS server and serverless development and architecture to help us design/code/test new features for existing and future products. Our systems are primarily used for managing media content, including metadata enrichment, AI analysis, deep searching capabilities and high volume distribution to thousands or millions of consumers.
The successful candidate will have a love of technology, a Computer Science background and strong problem solving skills. This specific position will focus on some of the latest Python, Javascript and other server technologies with a HEAVY focus on AWS lambda and serverless development.
IMPORTANT! This role REQUIRES experience with AWS, Lambda and other serverless technologies with Python. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in this area. We are also only hiring Direct W2 employees - corp-to-corp (C2C) not an option.

Key Outcomes (Deliverables):
- Key role in implementation and successful delivery of applications for our clients.
- Work with customers and a design team to ensure the customer requirements turn into a very successful solution.
- Majority of developer’s time will be developing new code in Java or Python within an AWS infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience in back-end web programming utilizing Python technologies
- Must have developed using AWS technologies such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, Dynamo and others. Design of Lambda functions a MUST.
- Strong server side skills including API integrations
- Database technologies and database interaction experience
- Solid command of OOD principles and Design Patterns
- Possess a strong technical background and willingness to learn
- Strong experience with development methodologies such as XP, Agile or SCRUM
- Significant JavaScript experience including node.js and other related server packages
