The Backend Developer will provide high quality engineering solutions which will address business needs by developing and maintaining Microsoft's .NET framework-based window services for communication servers, and APIs for communications between systems. Excellent understanding of database principles, structure, theories, and practices is required.

The Backend Developer will design and develop new windows/web services and APIs to enhance the functionality of existing backend services that bring data back from the device on a regular basis. The Backend Developer will create new database tables, stored procedures and functions as needed as well as participate in daily stand-up meetings, code reviews, sprint planning, and sprint demos. The Developer will also assist QA team with testing as needed.

Technical Skills
- Travel estimates of 25% required, and position is primarily remote.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
- Required experience with interpreting, parsing, and manipulating binary data, SQL Server, developing Microservices/Web Services and in data transmission through messages, FPT file transfer.
- Preferred experience with development in Azure cloud environment, durable messaging, App Insights, Service bus and GIT
- Understanding of Agile Development Methodologies.
- Champion of problem solving with open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge.
- Strong personal accountability with excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to present as well as absorb complex ideas quickly & accurately and provide solutions on a tight deadline.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a strong team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience utilizing C#, Socket and/or serial communication protocols, SQL, JSON, Web API and XML.
