The Role:

The IT R&D Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, delivering multiple, complex projects driving Digital Transformation for clients. This role is responsible for the project life cycle from conception to implementation and support. This is a unique opportunity to work with a fast-growing company and a Techno-Functional Team that has a deep skill set in Digital Transformation.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Play an integral role in the development of R&D IT systems and processes for clients

  • Drive projects and ensure alignment on all project details: objectives, scope, approach, deliverables, financials, schedule, dependencies, and risks.

  • Manage complex IT projects for clients involving internal and external partners as well as vendors

  • Drive project meetings such as steering committees, stakeholder & vendor meetings

  • Proven track record of administering GxP systems and business processes critical to company success across multiple systems and departments

  • Generate documentation in accordance with corporate and GxP SDLC practices for all technical related aspects of the implementation including but not limited to Project Plan, Risk Assessments, Technical Design Specification, Functional Specification, User Requirements, Traceability Matrix, System Test Plans, Backup and Disaster Recovery Plans

  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders

  • Produce and deliver against the agreed project plans and key milestones

  • Close, effective collaboration with Systems Architect, Support Teams, and other client Sr IT management as needed

  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements, user stories and tasks for delivery.

  • Contribute to technical roadmap planning and documentation.

  • Clearly communicate project status, schedule, risks, issues, and changes/resolutions – keeping all stakeholders involved and informed on a regular basis.

  • Provide functional expertise where appropriate

  • Create process maps and identify areas of optimization for IT workflows where appropriate

  • Manage IT and functional stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and steering Committees to ensure accountability and drive value.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and across organizational levels in different geographies
  • Demonstrated track record managing the implementation of systems or process in SaaS methodology
  • Ability to operate and deliver multiple projects in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Skilled at risk and issue management
  • Highly organized individual capable of defining project and driving though to delivery against defined plan
  • Willing and able to challenge effectively to ensure that deliverables are reflective of the wider needs
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Experience with leading Digital Transformation or business change programs a big plus

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • BS or M.S in Life Science or related field
  • Understanding of SDLC methodology is a plus
  • Some experience preferably in Pharmaceutical /Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience with software, data design and data models.
  • Knowledge of Biopharmaceutical R&D IT Systems a plus.
  • Relevant office productivity tools, such as Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google office)
  • Relevant workflow and drawing tools, such as Visio, Lucidchart, SmartSheet.
