DATABASE ENGINEER

Remote. Full-time Direct Hire.
Required Experience: 3-4 years of experience in SQL (T-SQL), SSRS, SSIS
80-90K / year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science. Other disciplines are acceptable with cross-functional work experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in relational database engineering and SQL programming
Minimum 2 years’ experience in T-SQL programming
Minimum 2 years’ experience in SSRS report development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to gather, develop, and implement working IT solutions, sometimes under the pressure of quick deadlines
Strong coordination skills, working with various resources to meet agreed-upon service-level agreements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Database Engineer provides development support for IT production processes, its usage of 3rd party applications, the creation of new programs and reports, and the implementation of process improvements. Works with internal development staff to ensure technical and functional issues are addressed. Gathers or refines specifications and creates and modifies application programs and procedures as needed. Performs unit tests and assists with QA and regression testing. Works with management to define or refine development standards, and performs code reviews and other quality checks.
