Job Summary:
The Full Stack Java Developer works with a team of peers to develop and/or refine payment technology to deliver upon the customer experience.
Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with and at the direction of Sr Full Stack Java Developer to contribute to projects and support ticket resolution and escalations through coding. Reviews code with Sr Full Stack Java Developer to receive feedback and make adjustments.
- Design, develop, implement, and deliver high-quality products to customers
- Develop testable, scalable, trustworthy systems that eliminate manual tasks from the financial industry
- Apply modern best practices in designs and implementations
- Scale technology as the business continues to grow while staying focused on shipping software that matters to customers
- Innovate various aspects of Engineering and Distributed Architecture, focus on the CI/CD process for delivering quality products in the true sense of lean development
- Contribute to the primarily Java-based systems
- Strong time and task management skills
- Maintains and upgrades skillset through continuous learning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for providing excellent service to all internal and external customers
- Supportive team player
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to drive efficiency and effectiveness in workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of developer experience.
- Strong Java Skills
- Experience with Spring, RESTful APIs, Angular, Spring, Hibernate SQL, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 and microservices
- Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Strong experience in any database
- Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
- Proficient in multiple modern programming languages
- Ability to work as an independent resource and deliver
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Agile development skills
- Ability and interest to learn other coding languages as needed
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
