Job Responsibilities
- Code design, implementation and testing for Infinera’s next generation of Optical Engine used for Long Haul, Metro and Data Center Interconnects
- Requirement and design documentation, and help on testing documentation
- Interface with optical, hardware, FPGA, software, manufacturing and test teams for assigned functions
- Transfer of Information to manufacturing
- Debug and fix customer issues.
- 8+ years of industry experience of firmware development experience in multi-threaded real time environment
- BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Great C/C++ programming skills. Visual Basic, Matlab or Python are considered a plus
- Strong background in SW engineering practices: automation infrastructure for test, componentization, release engineering, agile methodology
- Proven ability to influence cross-functionally at senior levels, including SW, HW, Architecture, and Technical Support
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, software version control (Like Perforce, GIT) and bug tracking systems
