Role

As a Software Engineer III, ServiceNow you’ll join our Data & Digital team helping us lead, design, and build our digital transformation and define what’s next for our business—while working in an organization that’s continuously investing in data and systems. The Data and Digital team is focused on developing innovative solutions, utilizing modern technologies, and delivering critical data, geo-spatial, and logistic capabilities to our customers.

Software Engineer III, ServiceNow will play a key role in designing, enhancing, implementing, and maintaining effective and scalable solutions using ServiceNow, and integrating with third party and in-house products. This role will work closely with a variety of stakeholders in the business to lead solution discussions, provide technical leadership, drive continuous process improvements, and mentor other engineers toward comprehensive solutions that improve business processes and drive efficiency across all business functions. The Software Engineer III, ServiceNow will guide efforts for standardization and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead upgrades, maintenance, configuration of, and integration with ServiceNow.
  • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle and take a lead role with requirements analysis, software design, reviewing the work of others, setting standards, and providing Level 3 production support.
  • Provide solutions to complex challenges leveraging the ServiceNow platform, modern development languages, and frameworks.
  • Research new technology in response to enterprise-scale business requirements, systems configurations, or technology innovations.
  • Responsible for training and providing technical mentorship to team members.
  • Develop and maintain relevant documentation for new enterprise-scale technologies.

Education/Certifications
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Extensive professional ServiceNow experience required
  • Related ServiceNow certifications preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing and administering ServiceNow
  • Broad knowledge of integrating ServiceNow to external platforms via Web Services
  • Experience with designing and configuring Customer, Contractor, and Service Portals
  • Experience with development of the NOW Mobile and NOW Agent Mobile apps
  • Experience with Case/Major Case/Field Service Management
  • Experience with Access Control Lists, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Data Policies, Workflow/Flow
  • Knowledge of agile development practices
  • High proficiency in software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and build processes

Working Conditions: This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter. Travel up to 25% may be required.
