The Web Software Developer’s focus will be for design, implementation, and maintenance of existing and new software requirements to meet the needs of internal and external clients. The Developer will work with the team and clients under supervision of a team leader to understand requirements, develop specifications, test and write software applications. The Web Developer is owner of the implementation of at least one critical application, or at least three major features. This includes acting as decision maker for these applications' system and database architectures, facilitating or actively participating in stakeholder discussions, and thoroughly understanding related SHI business processes.
The Web Software Developer will report to the Development Manager of eCommerce.
This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset or SHI Austin office locations.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
Review and analyze business needs and specifications to determine programming requirements for new and existing software projects
Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology
Maintain existing software programs; make approved changes by developing detailed programming logic and coding changes
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users
Write and maintain documentation for software projects
Contribute to training for developed software
Develop and implement test plans for new projects, and maintenance of existing projects
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information processed, stored or accessed
Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference
Adapt to evolving technologies and processes
Take responsibility for at least one major feature Including:
Acting as decision maker for the internal design of such features

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years professional programming experience
Experience with object-oriented design and writing reusable code
Experience with C#, ASP.Net
Experience with multi-tier architectures
Experience with HTML and JavaScript experience using HTML5
Experience with writing RESTful APIs
Experience with Microsoft Windows and IIS
Experience using source control, especially GIT
Experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server
Completed Bachelor's degree in a IT field, or equivalent working experience

Experience with Linux
Experience with nginx
Experience with PowerShell and Bash
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment, such as tools like Jenkins
Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap and jquery
Experience in an Agile development environment, especially using Scrum techniques
