We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Solution Architect to join our New Business and Operations (NBOIT) based in Aliso Viejo, CA, and Lynchburg, VA. This role can be hybrid or 100% remote (depending on location).
As a Sr. Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by providing technical guidance and leadership to one or more development teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 15 people in the Life Insurance division. Your colleagues will include Software Architects, Solution Architects and Software Development professionals. In this role you will work closely with your assigned development teams to ensure implementation of architectural vision, while collaborating with other architects on proposed solutions across the team.
How You Will Make An Impact
Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve
Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
Engage with architects of other applications to define integration points, overcome challenges and development dependencies
Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments
The Experience You Will Bring
Minimum 8 years IT development/architecture experience preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate comfortably with business partners and other IT staff
Experience with Microsoft .NET and Java Spring
Problem solving skills sufficient to perform research and recommend a proposed solution to problems
Able to work on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
Able to effectively direct and coordinate the work of other team members on a project

Experience in Financial Services, Life Insurance industry a plus
Experience with workflow systems
Experience as a developer and problem solver
