This Role


As a Senior Software Engineer Release Manager, you will improve and automate our release process to support millions of customers worldwide. That technology includes our unique cell phone-locking system, and customer on-boarding experience. As a member of PayJoy you’ll work alongside seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs on projects that immediately impact our customers, and you’ll contribute to a startup that’s undergoing rapid growth.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate with engineering and QA to set up and build infrastructure for both Android and Web for the mobile engineering teams.
  • Establish a CI/CD pipeline for development, QA, and product launches with as little manual steps as possible.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams for product releases and automated deployment of Android APKs to Playstore and PayJoy’s custom update infrastructure.
  • Setup and keep track of release notes, quality reports, and other metrics around product release schedule


Skills


  • Expertise around deployment of cloud web services on AWS, Android applications, and AOSP.
  • Google Playstore expertise is required and/or ability to get up to speed quickly.
  • Setting up and optimizing automated Android build infrastructure on Circle CI from scratch and/or to adopt the current system to business needs.
  • Python, Javascript, Shell, PHP, HTML, CSS, Gradle, Maven, Make, XRAY is preferred.
