Narvar is Growing! We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to build new product features that delight our customers. You will play a key role in guiding the future of our web application at Narvar by partnering with a cross-functional team including Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, and engineering leadership. You will lead process improvements that increase the velocity of the team, accelerating product development. As a Principal Engineer, you will build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding all levels of engineers.

This position is available remotely in North America.

Day-to-day

• Architect new product features & support extending existing ones
• Advocate for best patterns and practices in the area of system design, performance, and testing
• Advocate for engineering systems and solutions that accelerate product development in the long-run
• Define and teach standards for building scalable frontend web applications
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Design, Sales, and Engineering Leadership to help break down business requirements into actionable plans
• Identify bottleneck gaps and architecture issues that may be negatively impacting performance, stability, the user experience, or cost
• Mentor all levels of engineers

What We’re Looking For

• BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or equivalent frontend engineering experience
• 10+ years of development experience in UI/Frontend software development
• Strong professional Javascript development experience with a frontend framework(s), such as React, Svelte Angular, Vue, or Ember
• Experience developing consumer-facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
• Experience defining APIs for new features with a backend lead counterpart
• Experience with mentoring other engineers
