- Actalent Engineering is currently hiring for a Software Developer to support our client remotely. This is for a pure software company that specializes in Geospatial information. They work on visualizing/analyzing satellite images and radar information. They are a 75 year old company originating from Europe with their 1 year anniversary of becoming a fully US company this September.

- Description: *
- You will specialize in the use of their advanced tools for building geospatial functionality and visualization (2D and 3D).
- You will develop software for our customers, both on-site and from our office in Washington DC.
- You will participate in research programs with our industry and university partners.
- You will also work closely with our sales team and participate in meetings with existing and new clients.
- Skills:* Experienced engineers will help train new candidates on their specific tools, but candidates coming in must have experience/knowledge in GIS or geospatial tools.

- Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
- You have a university degree (preferably Master of Science/Engineering) specializing in Software Development/Computer Science.
- You have some years of professional experience of and are devoted to advanced software development.
- You have strong skills and experience in the Windows environment (Visual Studio, C#/.NET, C++, etc.). Experience from development for Linux/Android and web applications is also valuable. This is not essential, as we are looking for competent problem solvers and are willing to train people we see potential in.
- You have skills in agile development (e.g. Scrum) and like to work in small teams.
- If you have experience from GIS tools or geospatial software it is a plus.
- Experience from the Defense, Security or Aviation industry is appreciated.
- You are a quick learner and want to constantly improve.
- You like to travel and be part of an international team.
- You speak native or fluent English.
- You have permission to work in US without a need for visa sponsorship.
