NetApp RTP, NC – Software Engineer in Test, StorageGRID

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work as part of the Quality team responsible for delivering an enterprise-class NetApp software product. Through the application of systematic test tools and Agile processes you will help deliver reliable, innovative storage and data management products. You will be part of a team that develops, modifies, and executes automated software test plans; analyzes and writes test standards and procedures; maintains documentation of results; works closely with development engineers in feature development and resolution of problems.

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree. Typically requires no previous professional experience.

Essential Functions
- Work on verification of systems and subsystems
- Creating, implementing, and executing test plans
- Creating and developing test automation in CI/CD pipeline
- Support inter-dependent development and testing activities
- Understanding test requirements and formulation of test cases
- Setting up lab and configuring testbeds
- Investigate identified issues and drive their resolution
- Generating test reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages
- Familiar with Test Planning and execution
- Experience with Linux environments, container experience is a plus.
- Experience with networking concepts such as routing and VLANs is a plus
- Experience with HTTP/HTTPS, and related protocols such as AWS S3 APIs are a plus
- Experience with Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases is a plus
- Experience with Distributed systems is a plus
- Experience with Virtual Machines is a plus
- Experience with Agile, TDD, and CI/CD methodologies is a plus
