Our client is looking for an OS DevOps & Infrastructure Developer for a fulltime perm opportunity at a large Enterprise Insurance Company.

The top technical skills for this role include providing Engineering solutions for RHEL estate and high proficiency in both declarative (Ansible) and object oriented (Python) scripting languages, an ability to recognize inefficient processes, and the wherewithal to drive changes. This includes the ability to work closely and effectively with Unix L1/L2 teams, Product teams, Business Units, vendors, and fellow team members to provide exceptional customer service.

Primary Job Responsibilities
    • Drive and implement Engineering standards for global RHEL 6/7/8 RHEL estate, on-prem and on Cloud
    • Manage and support RedHat Satellite Server 6.x and capsule servers to support a global network
    • Manage and support Ansible Tower infrastructure
    • Automate Security and vulnerability patch deployments on all Unix Servers
    • Create and deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through a CICD pipeline utilizing DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, or comparable toolsets.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance on RHEL and other Unix Operating Systems to L1/L2 teams
    • Must be able to create, implement, and call/consume REST APIs for various automation tasks relevant to infrastructure activities
    • Automate and enforce server compliance across the Unix estate
    • Develop Automations for new site deployments and migrations via orchestration
    • Implement zero-touch automations that will replace time consuming, error-prone, manual repetitive configuration and provisioning tasks
    • Develop and iterate on Ansible automation for managing a diverse and growing infrastructure ecosystem
    • Collaborate with other Product teams to strategize, automate, implement, and document best practices
    • Leverage configuration and image management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or something comparable to perform automated lifecycle management of enterprise platforms.
    • Work and deliver in Agile/Scrum coding environment utilizing many Git based repositories with peer reviewed releases
The qualifications include:
    • 4+ years’ experience with RHEL Linux Systems pertaining to administration/ Engineering and development on RHEL Linux 6.x/7.x/ 8.x infrastructure
    • Hands-on experience with RedHat Satellite Server, Ansible Tower, AWS, DevOps/Pipelines
    • Experience in Managing and support RedHat Satellite Server 6.x and capsule servers to support a global network
    • Experience in systems vulnerability management and hardening to mitigate Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) using server configuration changes.
    • Strong understanding of configuration, security patch and Vulnerability management principles and know how to remediate security findings and document the same
    • Minimum 4+ years related current experience in development and automation.
    • 2+ years Hands on experience with REST APIs, PowerShell, Jenkins, Ruby, and Python to build automation solutions.
    • Must know how to write, publish, secure, consume, and troubleshoot API’s.
    • Knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare/vCenter/Hyper-V, AWS, Azure) a plus.
    • Hands on experience managing and supporting RedHat Ansible Tower infrastructure is a plus
    • Proficient in creating and troubleshooting Ansible Playbooks used for Orchestration of various Infrastructure automations.
    • Proficient in CI/CD using git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and custom scripts (Perl, groovy, bash and Ruby).
    • Develop Ansible Playbooks to automate our server migrations to Co-located Datacenters
    • Develop automations and clean up any technical debt using python and PyCharm/vim
    • Understanding of various deployment methodologies (BigFix, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible Tower)
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root cause including remediation and detection
    • Understanding of software version control, deployment & build tools and SDLC practices
    • Ability to process new concepts and technologies quickly, has an appetite for learning
    • Help evangelize IT best practices and trends including Automation, DevOps, etc.
